  • Engine Mount Washer

    1946 BC12-D A 65

I'm in the process of changing engines. The Washer- Engine to
mount were not correct. The holes were considerably larger than the
bolt. My old parts catalog gives a part no of 21530 but no description.
In the parts book each went for $4.37 which is probably cheap when one considers the work they must do.
Any info on thickness and daimeter would be appeciated. I'm OK on Bolts and Nuts but this has me stopped for now.
    Thanks for any help.

You can probably get them new for a good price from Fresno Airparts or Robert Weber both in Trade-A-plane. Dave

I ordered some from Aircraft Spruce they said were correct but the hole is still too large. I would like to know if you find some.

21530 is a Continental part number. It about the diameter of an AN970 washer but twice as thick. I have seen plenty of planes with 2 AN970-616 washers, but the Continental part is available for about $6.00. And yes, the hole is oversized. Dunno why...

Yep, that is the part # I got but thought it was not correct because it is oversized for the bolt.

My IA said the holes on the part no. washer are bigger because cubs and aeroncas use a larger engine mounting bolt. LyCon found 1 washer. that was perfect but they had no part no.. I went with two washers after trying to find three more like LyCon found for me. If anyone knows how to finf out info. on washers I would be happy to send the one I have.
