  • Got my tcraft flying yesterday!

Got my bl65 in the air , it is great, after test flying my smith mini plane, marquart ma5, spezio two holer, three stinson 108's, a rebuild on a 180 comanche, the taylorcraft was a great feeling, it has a newly rebuilt engine, and has not flown since dissasembled in 91. It seemed like I had just flown the best flying airplane in the world, my first time solo in a tcraft. I can understand why everyone brags on these airplanes. Nothing yet has been so easy, responsive, pleasurable and relaxing! I am hooked! I love the slow , easy and smoothness of the lycoming 65 hp engine. Need to determine , but think that the prop is a climb prop as it will easily go to the red line in cruise, with only 1.1 hour since major. But is so smooth, I can not believe . Thanks to everyone on the site who helped me .

Jack.. Its been said about planes (and boats) that if "she looks good she handles good" Good looks are a plenty with a Taylorcraft ! Congratulations for bringing another one back to the flock!

I have known today a magnificent intoxication. I have learnt how it feels to be a bird. I have flown. Yes I have flown. I am still astonished at it, still deeply moved. — Le Figaro, 1908
