    I need a brake cable for a 1946 BC12D. Can anyone provide a source?
    Thanks,

    brake cable

    Make them.
The drawings call for 1/16" I think. My broke within one year after replacing them.
I used 3/32 the second time and they have been on the plane 10 years. At the wheel end, I swagged the cables and on the heal brakes, I used a clamp so I could adjust them.

      Thanks Robbie

Thanks, I now own the T-Craft Roland Dennison was asking about the brake cables. He ended up splicing them. Seems to work, but I think I will use your method next time.

        Brake Cable

I used cable for garage doors I found atmy local hardware store, cut the loops off at the ends and used that. I don't remember the exact size, I just matched it up to my original cable.

Of course you mean you used hardware store cable on your garage door and it looks similar to whats on your airplane.

We all know that on certificated airplanes we need to use the proper materials, with traceability, etc. Approval and cost.

Remember the A in NAPA does not stand for Airplane!
