  • All for the love of flying!

Heading north this afternoon, braving 300 miles of open cockpit, freezing rain and a CG akin to the handling of an inverted Pietenpol….just to get a hop in DanoT’s float equipped Taylorcraft. Dano, when you find me at camp, I will have already pre-set my frozen face into a perma-smile…..just roll me down to the water and strap my frozen carcass to a float (headfirst please….I have anticipated this and am prepped for less resistance). I should be at Ottawa Lake mid Friday afternoon. I look forward to seeing you then or Saturday morning, weather permitting!

Mike was frozen....he rode that bike through rain and cold just for a ride....so even though we had to wait for the weather to break on Saturday....we had a great flight. Mike sent me some pictures that he took of me....see below. I found mike early Saturday morning with his tent pitched inside a pavillion next to a fireplace at Ottawa Lake campground. He shared the pavillion with about 200 bats. Hope you had fun Mike....and thanks for breakfast
