Just had another Cajun up here ; Tim Hicks stopped by.
Lee has the best of both worlds, his DCO ( L2B ser# L4620) used to be down there in Kingwood , tx where my daughter lived for quite a while....I think my Dad was the test pilot but I need the Army ser# to be sure..... bye Forrest

        Forest Barber

Forest there was a gentleman by the name of Ben Barber that purchasered my L-2 (then NC50630) from Homer Eaton In Jan 1950; sold it to H.G Hargrove & G.P McWhirter in Nov. 1953. Ben Barber lived in Weatherford OK. Then.

That is the only Barber I see in the records. Of course,as you said if he was working at the factory, he certainly could have been the test pilot.

Also, I know Hicks from the Baton Rouge area.

PS:Attached a picture of the L-2 at my home

              Thanks Vic

Thanks Vic. You guys do that. Still want to come your way also. Did you sell Tim his T-Craft? Or we need to go up to Shaw and see those guy. I have never been there. I understand it is pretty nice. The T-Craft factory is having a class on recovering with the Sat. BBQ March 6-7. Did you know about that? If weather is nice, wouldn't mind going.

                T-Craft

                Yes Lee,
I did sell my old T-Craft to Tim. It was hard to do. At the time I didn't have a place to store her and I was working in Ca.
I had told him I would sell it to him and didn't want to go back on my word. I tried to discurage him but he would'nt have it. Ha. Ha. When I heard abt a T-Craft for sell in Shaw I had no Idea that was where my old T-Craft was. I drove to Shaw with a friend, purchase N95110 and got to see my old T-Craft. She looked as good as the day I sold her. Tim is doing a good job with her. My friend drove my truck home and I flew the New T-Craft home. It sure felt good flying a T-Craft again. I love these birds. If you fly to Shaw let me know I will meet you there in my T-Craft

We need to do that. Get Tim there also. I think I did meet him once. But would be a nice trip. Haven't had a chance to fly my new T-Craft yet. Lossey weather, hell you know. Maybe Sunday.

                    Coonass TCraft get together

I'd like very much to fly to Jeanerette to see you guys at their pancake breakfast. I really love flying across the Atchafalaya Basin.

Yes, Lee, we did meet a few years back when I flew Vic's old TCraft into Lafayette. You must have seen me alight because you drove up on a motorcycle and introduced yourself. I still have the business card you gave me.

I happened to be in Akron Ohio on business a week or so ago. I had time before my flight out of Cleveland so I drove over to Barber Field in Alliance and had lunch at Pancho's with Forrest.

                      Flying the Yellow Duck

They call my T-Craft the Yellow Duck, because there is Daffy Duck on the front Cowl. It looks pretty cool. Got to do a little flying today in it and don't know haw exact the airspeed is, but at 2100RPM 45 in Prop @ 1000 ft I was indicating 110 mph. Need to figure that out and see if it'll work. Flies great, very light and straight. Enjoyed it.
