They dont use paint up there...... They use the rocks, but you can only read them when flying.

    Kind of like crop circles.........

Chris- What size tires are you using? I ordered some 4 ply 8.00 X 6's and plan to install them at annual. I wish I could find 8.50 x 6 in 4 ply. The local FBO is keeping a look out for me some worn out 8.00's or 8.50's so I do not pay the weight penalty of new tread. Those things are HEAVY!

I use the almost worn out 8.50's from the 206's where I work. Little bit lighter than brand new tires and plenty of tread for an airplane that gross's at a third of what a 206 does.

It was great to finaly meet you this summer. I have been so busy. After guideing fisherman all summer. I got to go work on my cabin for a month.
I added on to it. Its on upper fish creek lake by lake creek.. I didnt even get to go hunting but i did see about a 55 inch bull from the cabin about three day after the season. Have you seen the otter in the swamp they hope to fly it out of there as soon as it snows

Lance, here is a picture I took last week. The plane appears undamaged. "Never quit flying the airplane"...the old dictum appeared to work in this case.

The otter was landed without even a scratch. He lost a cylinder at 800.
He just dropped off a group of people in cooper landing and was almost home
at arness lake when it happend. As soon as we get a little snow they will fly it off the swamp we will video the take off it should be good...
The otter is leased by mavrik air in kenai..

Len, you are a genius! I always tell people that I navigate using GPS (Giant Paper System), and now I can tell them to fly using both GPS and GPS!

                        Thanks Lance,
Thought that color scheme looked like RKL Otters. You don't happen to have the number of it, do you?

This gives you an idea of the size of an Otter, compared to a Taylorcraft. When you add a set of floats to the DeHaviland, it is a pretty good sized aircraft.

Yah Dick, that's why that color scheme prompted me to ask who's it was... I remember taking that pic on the only nice day out there all summer! Do you know anything of that Tcraft in that pic? It was there (Illiamna) for about 2 weeks and then gone... That was the summer of 89
