A nice blue and white t craft whooped but in the under 100hp takeoff competition at greenville me.It even beat up on the cubs (an i am a cub guy).Just thought u guys should know.Lots of nice float t carts there.Don't know who was flying it,but he woulda made u proud.Made my father happy,even though i have a supercub he is always talking about his old t crafts.

I don't have any pics,but many people were taking pics and may be able to find some from friends.What a crowd and tons of seaplanes.Hard to beleive that many people have floats for their birds.Did you go up to the airport? Tons of amphibs and lot's of unique planes.That old sikorsky was really neat,don't see them every day.I heard it was the only flying example in the world.For a flyin without much publicity that one drwas quite a crowd,one of the bigger ones in the northeast.

This is the first time in 4 years that I didn't go Greenville and camp at the airport by the plane. I had another commitment for a fishing trip to the Saint Lawrence river Thousand Island area so I did that, life is tough. Greenville has always been fun with all the old rag planes on floats and intresting birds at the airport. Between the float plane area and the paved strip I'll bet there has to be 200 planes. The atmosphere is like going back in time 30 years and that's great. It's a long trip for my unfinished TCraft, so I use the Mooney this year for the fishing trip, next year, Greenville in maybe the 41 TCraft.

I was at the airport on Saturday mid-day when the thunderstorm struck. Was very surprised to see a few Champs and Cubs getting out, heading South JUST ahead of the storm,(I mean, it was already raining on the ground...). My favorite at Folsoms was a white Super Cub, with [powder blue trim, named "Head North", which was inscribed on the side. The gentleman flying it had to be in his late 70's...Boy, I was envious of that airplane!

I was at Greenville, too, in trusty ole 44184. That nice looking blue & white T Craft on floats is bunch-of-fours 44444, rebuilt by Brian Dunn from Beech Hill Pond after a hanger fell on it in West Pittsfield. Incidently, the Beech Hill Pond guys have a hell of an ice fly-in sometime in February.

Those Dunn boys are pretty clever,they do good with that old 180 too.
