Hope to be there Fri but have to leave Sat AM.
    I don't think I'm flying the T-craft, but we'll see.

I believe that is Brodhead? I will be busy here in Ohio at two other fly-ins; BUT I will be missing the best on up there. Frank Pavliga will represent the Barber Airport, he and daughter Katy are going up on Friday back on Sunday. Oh wel maybe next time...

If the "no work gods" and the "weather gods" smile on me, I'll see you there! Maybe we can have that long lost beer that we didn't have at OSH.

Sounds good to me! Afew of the people that fly in camp overnight. I will not. The weather at BRODHEAD was awfull. Just got home 30 minites ago. Cold and rainy there, not the big turnout of years past. George

Glad you made it home OK George. You almost beat me home! (I did go over to Monroe for a hard salami and cheese sandwich at Baumgartner's though).

                            Gang,

I only had a few hours Friday morning at Brodhead. Nice morning but lots of weather to the N and E. Walking quickly thru I saw (3) early arrivals of the Taylorcraft variety. Talked briefly to Andrew King to see how his open cowl project was progressing. Joe Karner and Mahlen Smith are building an experimental clip wing out of a 1940. I think they said they were putting a 90hp Lambert on it. I bought a bunch of parts from them including a beautiful set of Shinn brakes that are like new, a set of perfect trim "flippers" and a nice set of LG fairings. They built a new set of wings using wooden ribs. I was optimistic that the old wings may have some good ribs but was really dissapointed to see them all but ruined by drilling for Martin Clips. Most of the drilled holes went completely thru the center flanges of the ribs leaving only the side flanges for strength. Many of the ribs were drilled multiple times for the clips. They looked like screens in places! Like a dummy I forgot to get pics of the project! I am still looking for a set of Tri-Pacer brakes if anyone might have a set.

Mike, sorry I missed you. I got there about 9:00 in the cub. Parked on the west side toward the south end, next to the c172. That tcraft project got a lot of interest all weekend. Left on sat. after lunch to beat the weather. My buddy is up there right now retrieving the c172. George
