Prewar Ribs

I need (6) short ribs and (6) long ribs of the pre-war built up style. If anyone has any please let me know. Thanx.

No ribs, but I have a good rib jig you are welcome to use if you find some that need to be repaired. I had to repair several of the ribs on my BC-65.

Winston, what does your rib jig look like. I managed to find some pieces of prewar ribs that I hope to repair some of my mangled ribs with. Would the jig be easy to duplicate?

Yes, the jig is two layers of 3/4" plywood. The bottom layer forms the base and the top layer is cut the shape of the rib so that all of the parts fit snugly in place. If you have a good rib to use as a template it would be easy to fabricate one. If you don't I could send this one if Mr. Cushway doesn't need it.

Did you try A&E enterprises in Oklahoma? I don't have a phone number for them but they are in Trade A Plane under Taylorcraft parts. They may have the ribs.
