    In spite of the heavily restricted airspace, and the population of the DC area, we were able to gather 10 seaplanes on a uninhabited island on the Potomac River over the weekend. The island is known locally as "Shark Tooth Island"

    Planes arrived singularly and some arrived in formation. We had a picnic lunch (spread out on a couple of horizontal stabs)

    For those of you that thought aviation died in DC after 9-11, we want you to know we are stubbornly hangin on.
