I just replaced the Eiseman M-4 Mags with with a Slick kit from Aircraft Spruce. It cost me $1070 in parts and $200 in labor for the sign off. I did not shield the P leads. The radio is great now, I have an I-Com A-200 panel mounted and a Sigtronics A-400 intercom.

Took this photo of shielded ignition cups on someone's BC12-D engine at Oshkosh two weeks ago. He said they were made for Ercoupes. Sorry, don't know where to find them.

They were short enough to fit under the original cowling, without needing cut-outs or bumps on the cowl.

Personally, I have very unshielded Case magnetos and wires on my plane, and I've just gotten used to the static on my handheld radio. But then I usually turn off the radio once I'm out of the vicinity of the airport anyway, so it's only a few minutes of static at a time.

thank you for input. I have slick mags but the plugs are not shielded. I will be
looking. If anybody knows where i can get them let me know. Again thank you

Fresno Airparts, 559-237-4863 has the shielded cups.

Hi mgold, please do a search of this forum for the "eiseman magneto" thread and you will find information I posted on how to install the shielding cups. If you buy the ones from Fresno, they will need to be modified. It is pretty easy to do. The pictures I posted in that thread should tell you the story.
