I'm planning to re-do my interior, and I'm trying to decide how to handle the wing roots in the upper corners of the windscreen. Looking at other T-crafts at fly-ins, I've seen that some end the headliner at the top edge of the windshield, with those bullet-shaped metal wing root sections left exposed and painted. I've also seen the wing roots wrapped in the headliner fabric, with fabric grommets as needed around the various struts and brackets. I've also seen a fabric-covered fairing that curved from the headliner out around the wing roots. And various ways of leaving an opening for the control cables up in the corners.
Does anyone know what the headliner to wing root junction looked like originally?
Anyone have a photo of a good-looking way to finish those corners of the interior?
Thanks,
