  • Why is one end bolted?

Anyone know why one end of the Landing gear down tube brace is bolted in place while the upper end is welded?

    Nice pic

I think I heard something about ease of manufacturing and to hold the wheelpant backing plate on.

Pic isn't orginal; picked it up as an idea to try.

I need an increase in salary!! It is bolted to ease the replacement of the tie strut if you damage it.....The factory should be selling these as a separate item. You weld the top part with a splice & bolt the bottom into place.
