  • Windshield Removal

While I'm waiting for my landing gear to come back from the factory there are some things that need to be done. I want to remove the windshield so that I can clean up and repaint the tubing behind it.

I've never done this before and I'm just wondering if there is anything I should know in advance. I can see there are a number of screws on the fairings around it. Is it just a removal of these screws??

    Thanks,

    Tom.
You got it right. Remove the screws along top, sides and bottom and then lift out the windscreen.

Treat the plexiglass as if it were brittle because it actually might be!

      Re: Windshield Removal

Be careful to get it released from any sealant around the edges! That's a great way to break a windshield. Take your time and be very patient and you'll have it out in good shape.
