    Re: Data Plate

Yes most pre war on door hinge , either fuselage or sometimes on the DOOR! or both. I have seen some in a triangular gusset under the seat by the outerlongeron on the passenger side too!
Post war at some point then switched to the one on the back side of the plate that the throttle , carb heat, etc.. are placed. Sometimes that one is upside down too!

      Forrest,

Do you have any of those pre-war throttle plates? Mine is missing.

          Re: Data Plate

Forrest: My partner and I have legal ownership to NC22211, a 1939 BL. It came minus logbooks and data plate, though the previous Dentist/owner says he remembers having them at one time. I have the FAA records files, which show the ownership trail, airworthiness, etc.. What other information do I need to send you in order to purchase a replacement data plate for NC22211?

            Re: Data Plate

Same as everybody else posted on the web site.
e-mail me directly with the ser# of course. I probably have the factory records. THEN you need a "letter of authorization" from the FAA to "fabricate" a lost or destroyed data plate. I need a copy of that letter, copy of the airworthiness certificate, copy of the certificate of registration, date of manufacture, SAS envelope for return of palte, priority mail if you wish.

and a check for $45.00 10 for the plate & 35 for knowing how!!

That is a common occurance and I issue a letter of explanation that indeed that could have occurred.

                  Re: Data Plate

I have a question that I know I've seen here before, but I couldn't find it.

I have a Data Plate, Airworthiness Certificate and Operating Limitations for an airplane that apparently no longer exists. I also have someone who has an airplane for which none of these items can be found, who would like to buy them.

Sooooo, what are they worth?? Any ideas?
