    N43112 is almost ready to take to the sky again. Does anyone know how much test time is required to be flown after a total restoration?

      Wayne,
      There is no "required" test time on a restoration. Legally if it passes annual, it's good to go.
      That said, take your time and check, check, and double check all your connections, bolts, nuts, cotters, etc. Also make sure the flight controls are set up the right way and the degrees of deflection are as outlined in the type certificate. That Walmart guy ate it in an ultralight because the elevator would not reach full up deflection due to improper installation....and he couldn't climb above rising terrain, even though the craft was fully capable of doing it.
      I've been test flying a QuickSilver GT500 for a friend and it's a lot of fun to check out new airplanes. By the way, the Quicksilver KIT is a little over $40,000 and it stalls faster than a Tcraft, carries less load, cruises much slower and has nowhere near the range. Still it's a kick to fly with, incredible visibility.....I've never flown an airplane I didn't like!

        Thanks for the reply. Do I need documentation to back it up. I thought that was true as well but I could not find it printed.

        I have a good friend who is going test fly for me since I am not checked out in a Tcraft.

        That QuickSilver make the Tcraft a really good buy. I am afraid to look at what my restoration cost but it's a lot less than 40 thousand.

          You need to document any "major" work that has been done. Your IA should be able to guide you through that process, but it's the same as any work done on an airplane. There's nothing special for a complete restoration, just a few more items to document or file 337's on. Your IA is key in this process.
