From what I have been able to peice together from various magazine articles, Taylorcraft turned out BC-12D's until late 1946 or early 1947 out of the factory in Alliance. Then the company went belly-up. Then a new Taylorcraft company was formed that moved to Conway, PA and started to produce the Model 19 in 1951. Is this correct and how long did that company survive? Did they also produce BC-12D's or just Model 19's and the four place job? What year did they go bankrupt and was that it for Taylorcraft production until the Ferris era starting in 1973 I think???
I am trying to piece together a bit of a chronology as I have a group coming over to look at my restoration on Monday evening.
How may Taylorcraft produced by the first company out of Alliance?
How may by the second company out of Conway (BC-12D or Model 19 only)?
How many in the Ferris era?
Any info would be appreciated.
