  • Where does trim wire spring attach?

I've read through Robert Lee's excellent compilation of information on the trim system. Some of the advice indicated that the tension spring was located between the guides just behind the cabin. Others indicated it could be accessed from the access panels at the tail. Can someone tell me where to locate the tension spring for my 46 BDC12D? Thanks, Bob

Yes, between the guides just behind the cabin. The stops will hit the guides to limit the travel correctly. I don't understand what could be done at the tail with the tension spring!

Spring is in the cable overhead just behind the baggage compartment as others indicate.
comment: That spring can be adjusted too tight! Putting too much tension will make the cable slip on the pulleys just as quick as too loose.
Rosin up the cable, leave the spring loose enough to let the cable sag just a bit. Mine works great.
