Attached are a few photos of 88M in her current condition.
First shot shows her almost nekkid (whoo, whoo). Soon I won't be able to sit in her and make engine sounds. I find that on occassion I do get depressed when I think of all that has to be done, but that's when the lawn chair comes in. Sit down, drink a cuppa joe and look at what I've already done and the depression goes away. I am so glad 88M is close to home so I can spend a few minutes each day doing something on her. I built/installed a lifting point and tried it out for a few seconds. Lifted 88M off the floor 1/4 inch, so I know the overhead beam will support her or the engine for the time it takes to remove the engine.
Also attached are places where I see rust. My plans are to get the fuselage
commercially cleaned, then move it to my A&P for repair and epoxy coating. I can take care of the small parts (blasting, repair and epoxy priming). - Mike
