Well folks, I need to do some weight and ballance calculations for a bc12d - A65 with a metal prop and 2 wing tanks at about 780-820 empty. I don't have a W&B for my plane, and was wondering if anyone on this forum might have a plane that is simalar to the one descibed and could share their measured left wheel - right wheel - and tail weights and empty cg position. I am working on some info to help the boys at Alaska Bushwheels get the STC approved on the tcraft. I also could use a copy of an approved 337 for bushwheels on a bc12d to help speed this up.

Re: need some W&B info
Jason, mine was short mount, 85, metal prop, generator, NO starter, all 3 tanks, and covered with Ceconite. The last weight and balance I did before I pulled it apart was as follows. RM= 404 LM= 404 Tail=60. I have here that the EWCG came out to 14.62 aft or datum. Hope that helps ya.
As long as we're on this subject, do the long mounts get off the ground or fly better/worse than the short mounts??? Anyone with experience here??? It seems to me that one time when I was talking to Greg Clayton, he swore by the long mount for getting off the ground/water better.
JHI'm so far behind, I think I'm ahead

Re: need some W&B info
The long mount is supposed to have a better thrust line than the short mount is what I was told. I wouldn't mind having a long mount non electric plane with a hoped up C85 and the extened baggage. Of corse both the bc12d4-85 and F19 that I have flown sure feel alot different and not as stable approaching at slow speeds as my short mount A65 plane does. Could all be in how the wings are rigged or the fact that both those planes were allmost 175lbs heavier than my empty weight.Jason
