Don't beat yourself up too much.

A friend showed me these photos of approaches to Hong Kong during obvious crosswinds.

Even the "pros" can't do the impossible!!

Doesn't help a whole bunch. Still need to fix it, or sell and buy something else. Still weighing both options.

Yep, had a prop strike. Very gentle, idling and rolled into ditch, see photos. Haven't cked that close yet, but doesn't look like it even bent the prop. But will still need tear down. That and the right gear.
