  • Shielded Ignition Cowl Bump

    Guys, my plastic bumps are all shot. Has anyone got a solution? Glass? Bumped Al?
    Thanks

    Re: Shielded Ignition Cowl Bump

    Wicks aircraft sells the fairings in aluminum. They are about .040 thickness and pretty nice. I have a set waiting for my next rebuild on the cowls.

      Jim:

      You can easily make them yourself in fiberglass. Click here. Send me a private message if you'd like to use the mold.

      Or, I can layup a couple bumps for you if you'd rather buy them.

        Bob,
        I would pay you if you could make me a mold.

          Guys,
          Thanks for the advice. I like them both, will be hard to decide whether to go with the F/G or Al. Mine are currently plastic, and broken up pretty bad.

            I purchased mine from Aircraft Spruce. Easy to put on and looks good. Made of Alum.

              Kevin;
              I sent you a PM about the mold.
