  • F-19 Bungee Cords

Any advice on getting new bungees for an F-19.

Are they the same as a BC12? Which catalog do you suggest? What is the proper size or part number?

    Thanks.

    Re: F-19 Bungee Cords

    Brady,

    They are listed as follows...BC12D P/N 9010HD......F19 P/N 9010XHD.

They are apperently Xtra Heavy Duty. I just bought some for my BC12D-85.

I can't remeber if I got them from Wag aero or Aircraft Spruce though. It lists them that way in the catalog.

        Brady,
Search this site under bungee or shook cords and you will find all the info you need to change them out. I just built a bungee installation tool today and will change mine next week, hope I built the tool right. I will order 9010 HDX from Wag Aero tommorrow. Good luck on changing yours.

          Mike,

A friend of mine fabricated a tool. It looks like it will work well. We are recovering my F-19. We ordered the bungee cords yesterday.

I'm fortunate to have some great guys on the airport who have recovered a bunch of planes. The fabric is on and it's all spraygun and sandpaper from here I guess.

It's getting to be a lot of fun down here. On the grass field we have a Citabria, a J-3 Cub, L-2 T-Craft, both my T-Craft, a Commanche, and a Bellanca Viking. There's also a bunch of powered parachutes, an ultralight, and hot air ballons.

            Brady,
I called Wag Areo today to order my bungees and they are on back order so the next call went to Univair they were in stock and five dollars apeice cheaper 25.30 each salesman said they had fifty in stock.
One of the local EAA chapters is having a fly in next weekend May 6th Roy E Ray is a 2000 foot grass strip and they usualy have a fun time, lots of tail draggers might be a good cross country for your F21.
How much work is covering mine needs it just scared to start.
