  • Rear Float fitting placement

    Hi all.

Im looking for a measurment from the front gear fitting to the rear float fitting on your tcraft with 1320's.

I believe that this measurement is 46 inches, but im double checking....

Some pics, from the inside, would really help. Im wondering if the fuselage cluster that is located immediately behind the sling is where the floats "bolt up to". If so, then I dont have to remove the baggage compartment to get at the bolts to put the floats.

And for those "outside", (as in not in Alaska), its currently snowing here in Seward.

Please email pics to me at [email protected].

    thanks for the info.

    Dan,

I have an F-19 on Aqua 1500's. The rear float mount bracket does in fact attach to the cluster just off to the front sides of the baggage platform.

The bracket on my plane is 3/16" thick formed angle- the leg on the bottom is about 4", and the vertical leg is about 2-1/4"

Are you putting clamp on fittings on?....They indeed clamp to the cluster you mentioned. HERE is a picture of mine. I have Baumann Floats, but they are designed to attach to 1320 fittings. I'm sorry I don't have a picture of the inside.
