Just wanted to let the tribe know that I have finished moving from Seattle to Graham Texas. I should be able to resume the repairs and recover of my plane soon. I came down south to work with a highly respected A&P/IA Steve Pierce. Most of the work is tube and fabric restoration. It was extremely hard leaving the NW. I consider it one of the most scenic parts of the country, although the southern hospitality thing is quite nice, and I am loving the food! If anyone is swinging through north central Texas and wants to stop by the hangar feel free. I live on the airport so there is a good chance I'll be around. Lunch is on me. I am keeping the same phone number and e-mail.

Re: FYI - I've moved to Texas
So where in Texas are you gonna find a 300 foot long dirt strip on top of a small hill shaped like a flatiron to go out and play with Super Cubs ???
I'd still buy you a 6-pack of any beer to see a video of flying in and out of that strip!Taylorcraft : Making Better Aviators for 75 Years... and Counting

Re: FYI - I've moved to Texas
Are you in Texas permanently? That was a great location you had in Duvall, WA. I had planned to drop in again in July on my way to the Arlington EAA flyin; I assume Karl is still has the farm there. I hope all goes well for you in Texas.

Graham Texas. Looks a little left of Dallas.
Are you on a private strip or at the Municipal Airport? If you happen to be down south, you are welcome to land at 07TS (halfway between Georgetown (KGTU) and whatever Taylor is).
Watch out for P49!!!!

Re: FYI - I've moved to Texas
Howdy Jason,
I occasionally get to that part of the country. If you decide to come N a little ways to Guthrie, OK stop in at hangar #11. The coffee is always on and the beer is always cold.
ps: same holds true for any of the tribe.Best Regards

Jason,
How far are you from Ft.Worth? Whats the airport Identifier? I may come by tomorrow in the company 172 from work. I have a meeting at the FAA Fort Worth - Meacham Airport. If we finish in time, I will swing by.

Re: FYI - I've moved to Texas
I have seen the video clips on that website, but I don't have the DVD. How much of that kind of flying is on the DVD? What is the quality of the DVD and the flying footage? Based on your comments I might just pony up the money for it...Taylorcraft : Making Better Aviators for 75 Years... and Counting

Dude; I been buried in my project an just caught up w/ your re/lo I'm thinking the same as Victor Bravo about your attraction to postage stamp landing sites. I'm ready to top my C-85 and now i gotta find another friendly source. I completely undrestand the career move though, best of luck, and enjoy the improved flying weather.Birdlegs

Re: FYI - I've moved to Texas
Here ya go Terry-
I would love to have you stop by the shop.
Complete aeronautical information about Graham Municipal Airport (Graham, TX, USA), including location, runways, taxiways, navaids, radio frequencies, FBO information, fuel prices, sunrise and sunset times, aerial photo, airport diagram.
I spoke with Wup (aka Derrik) from AK bushwheels at a flyin last weekend and asked how the Tcraft bushwheel stc is coming along. He has only received one 337 from a Tcraft owner and he needs at-least 2 more. If anyone has one and is willing to help get the stc pushed through please send it to Wup, or me and I will fwd it to AK bushwheels. Long props and big rocks volume II should start filming this spring/summer.Jason
