Following Mike's suggestion, I visited Bob Gustafson's website showing his Taylorcraft restoration. My hat is off to you Bob, very well done. Please keep it up! I was amazed at how well you described everything that was done. A few of the pictures were a little blury, but the descriptions made up for that. Excellent!!
One problem I've had with the Journal format on AOL is that only the most recent postings show on the "home page". You have to click on "view archives" to see all postings, and then it shows you a calendar view. I'd like to get something set up with an index of links to individual postings to make it easier to use. Anyone know how to do that?
Mike: The yellow green color is Poly-Fibers epoxy primer in the green color. I thought it looked a lot like the zinc-chromate that the factory originally used. (I'm going for that all-original-antique look) I have since purchased a quart of white epoxy for use on parts that won't be visible on the finished plane, gear legs and so on. What a difference! The white gives a beautiful, sleek, clean, shiney, modern finish. And some folks claim you can more easily see cracks and defects with the white primer. Unless you have (like me) some good reason to use green-I'd recommend the white primer.
