    Anyone have problems with wasps in the a/c.?
    They sure were surrounding 88M today;
    bought some Raid, soaked some rags and stuffed them in the engine compartment, in the back and at the tailfeathers.

    Remove headliner and all upholstery immediately. Remove seat sling if needed. Remove all inspection covers and access plates, entire aircraft.Remove cowlings. Remove glareshield. Then get in there with a strong light and a long stick to poke around in the corners.

    Far be it for me to say, but I think I'd do that BEFORE I started workign on taking the plane apart.

      I would get a "bug bomb" and a length of stove pipe. Stick the stove pipe in the fuselage and set the "bomb" at the end so that the smoke from it goes up into the plane and subdues the little buggers..... I gotta be careful with those guys...I'm alergic... so I tend to overdo it a bit at times.... haha

          When you get 88M flying, look out for mud daubers!

            Did anyone save the solution one of the tribe members had for getting rid of stinging critters in his plane? Searched the archives and it must have been before the new list started. All I remember was that it involved a bra, a cape and a broom, and I couldn't stop laughing for a week.

                I have seen a propane heater used to heat the inside of the plane up to over 120 degrees, kills any bug! they had the heater outside blowing through an old stove pipe. This was in the summer, I dont know if you could get it hot enough in cold climates. Rob
