Portland OR and Vancouver BC

Going on another trip. Will be in Portland OR the last week Aug. Then on to Vancouver BC for a few days, then flying back to LFT (Louisiana) Airlines. Would love to visit Tribe members. Navy reunion in PDX, Visit Vancouver. Place to stay while there, nice Hotel or B & B. Things to do and places to see ?

I'm not too far from Portland........my airplane's in Hubbard, about thirty miles south. There's plenty to do around here, especially if you're airplane minded. The Spruce Goose is just a few miles outside the city.....along with lots of other great planes in the Evergreen Museum.
There's a bunch of vintage birds at the Tillamook Air Museum, housed in a WWII blimp hangar....at one time, the largest free span structure on earth.
PLUS, this is the heart of micro-brew country......Portland has some of the best beer in the world. I'd be happy to buy you one and/or give you a flying tour of the area. There's a large Taylorcraft contingent in these parts.
