Window question

Attached is a pic of 88M's window (same on other side).
Only ventalation comes from that round thing.
Previous owner must have fried in there during the summer.
What's the easiest mod to get an opening window? - Mike

Mike, mine had the 2 piece window that 1/2 slid back, and to be honest, I changed them to just what you've got there... on the ground, I usually kicked a door open a bit and held it with an elbow.

Here in Georgia, we get by fine with the little vent like that. I taxi with the door unlatched and in flight the vent seems adequate. Not like the plane is sealed up or anything... Sometimes, we just take the doors off for that unrestricted feeling. Oh, if you see my RayBans in your woods you can have them but don't look back at the tail while you have your head out the window.

I like the original slider type windows, tighten them up good with new felt, if u want to get fancy make a little scoop that goes on in flight.

Mike,

I have two of those little round things--one one each side window and they work good even on very hot days. On the ground I open a door while taxiing.
