If you find a place to buy auto fuel that does not have ethanol or alcohol in it, please let the rest of us know!

Well, it might not help you....but there's a Shell Station in Hubbard, Oregon about 5 minutes from my hangar that has ethanol/alcohol free gas year round. I don't know how they get it, but they promise no alcohol ever and I've tested it repeatedly and it's always clean.
A lot of guys at our local airport have tanks and fill up there. We have a 55 gallon tank on a trailer.....which gives me a good solid 12 hours in the T, or 4.5 hours in the Stinson
If you fly out for some gas, you can use my trailer and I'll buy you a beer (if you're staying the night). Last week I paid $1.93 a gallon, but I see prices are up this week to $2.13.......sure beats the $6 a gallon at Port Alworth, AK! It's hard to beat flying for $9.76 an hour in fuel costs.

My local FS (farm supply) recently bought out the BP Amoco distributor. i got 100 gallon delivered today for my cub. The driver whom I have known for most of my life told me that here in this part of IL. Amoco does not add any alcohol. I test every load for myself, and have NEVER found any alcohol in the gas. I would suggest to ask your ocal BP dealer in your area.

                        George,

You are not too far north of me, and the only Amoco/BP gas without alcohol in my area is the high, not mid or low, octane. Sam's Club, who did have alcohol-free, started carrying alcohol-must have wanted the tax incentives. The FS store in Taylorville is the only station I can find carrying low grade alcohol-free gas. Oh, by the way, Senator Deanna Demuzio, (Democrat), the one who took over for her husband who passed away, apparently knows what everyone wants in Illinois and has sponsored a bill to but ethanol in all gas by 2008. I have notified EAA of her endeavours. Wouldn't it be interesting if you passed away and suddenly your spouse could take over all of your job duties at work without a lick of prior experience or education, and get paid well for it. Your politicians at work........................
