    Tie down rings

Tim, I use motorcycle tie down straps. About 10 in long sewed in the center, wrap around and pull through. Works great and will not damage your lift struts.

Actually Forrest, that is the reason for the $2 donation to the Taylorcraft foundation on behalf of Robert Lees. He was good enough to donate a tiedown ring to my cause. But it cost him about $2 US to mail it to me. When we discussed reimbursement, he suggested the donation to the Foundation. I don't think he expected me to deliver the donation in person, but I'm glad that it worked out that way.

I have the tiedown ring in my possession now (thanks Robert). I'll paint it then hang it on my strut. Thanks to everyone for your help in this matter.

Thanks to everyone for the great info on the tiedown situation.

I found some heavy duty short tiedown straps for securing 4wheelers to trailers, they have a ring on both ends and can be placed over the faired end of the strut, I can then tie down thru both rings.

The motorcycle tiedown sounds good but Im not sure it will handle a big wind.
