  • Main Fuel Tank Installation

I am ready to install the main 12gal fuel tank. The tank is held in place by two 1/4" diagonal brace wires. These wires are much smaller in diameter than the ID of the cross tubes integral to the tank. Is anything used between the brace wires and the tank tubes, ie rubber tubing, etc?

    Thanks for the help.

    Tom:
My tank had 4 pieces of 2 inch long rubber hose (fuel line?) around those rods and inside the tank holes.

Mine has some sort of rubber tube also. It was a fairly tight fit on both the OD of the tube (meaning: it fit snugly in the tank) and the ID (meaning: the rods didn't have gobs of clearance either). It does look approximately like fuel line.

Big thanks for the info. Special thanks for that 2" dimension. I am ready for the weekend now!
