Hello all:
My father is a retired aviator; I'm trying to help him put some parts out there that T-craft owners may have interest in.
He purchased a 1943 L2M in 1945; it had 143 hrs. on it. To get rid of "dead weight", he removed the radio, 6v wind generator, and trailing antenna assembly; he junked the radio, but kept the rest.
The antenna assembly and parts can be viewed at http://www.authphoto.com/l2mparts.htm .
The assembly is complete except for the wire and includes the reel assembly, front mast, rear mast and drogue. The drogue is complete but brittle, yet can be used as a pattern.
The wind generator is 6V, propeller spins freely and is assumed serviceable, but untested.
Am told the antenna assembly is pretty rare, so serious offers only please. Am doing this for my dad who is elderly and not too computer-savvy, but he says it is worth "several hundred dollars". I've suggested, and he agrees, to see what ONE-TIME offers are received by next Monday, as I'm no fan of e-bay last-minute "one-uppers".
Buyer pays shipping.
Same for the wind generator.
Also, he says he has a spinner around somewhere, and is looking for it.
Thanks for your consideration.
