www.jamestowndistributors.com and click on more info after checking out the clear penetrating epoxy

Actually this is for everyone but Robert Lee was noting that in the spar bolt reaming process he was worried that the spar varnish might be removed from the bolt holes . This stuff is as thin as alcohol can be injected by using a horse shot needle available at a farm supply store. The smith company had a better web site but this is all i could find at the time.
Im not saying use it on rotted spars but use it to seal the wood under varnish.
This stuff works so do yourself a favor and read up on it.

Thin Polyfiber's Epoxy Varnish 2 parts catalyzed varnish to one part Epoxy Varnish Reducer, it will do about the same thing, and be the same product as the rest of the epoxy varnish applied (if you're using EV-400). Great stuff!

It might John but this stuff takes several days to harden to allow it to really penetrate the wood fibers , not sure regular epoxy would do that. Thanks for the suggestion as i might compare the two.
