Nice day in Wisconsin

It got up to 52 here in the center part of Wi. Great day for flying, I didn't have to put on my long underwear or any of that. It's the first time the plane been out of the hanger since before Christmas.
Sure was great flying again. Little bit of wind 15 gust 22 but right down the runway. Lots of southerly winds aloft.
I guess that why its so warm up here this week. I hope the rest of the guys up here got to fly today.

It was a great day in Michigan too. A friend & I flew his AA-1 to West Virginia to look at a Piper Colt he wanted to buy. We had a 40MPH tailwind on the way over. You don't get too many day's like this in Michigan in the winter.

I just got back from picking up my plane after the annual...10mi visability, 2200 ft overcast....wind 330 @ 34kts! good thing I landed on runway 31....had to add full power several times on final just to maintain attitude. The wind at the departure airport was only 17kts....I turned AWOS on for my destination after I was 3/4 of the way there...that'll teach me. Anyways, lucky me the Landing was perfect....rollout was well...I wish someone would have filmed it...there was a lot going on in that cockpit.....the wind wanted to put me places I didn't want to go. The fuel truck guy said what a great landing....looked effortless....that shows what he knows...he couldn't see my A** sliding all over the seat and cranking full deflection on the controls from where he was. I decided to tie her down 30 miles short of home and get a ride home in a truck with a friend I bumped into at the airport. That aerobatic training sure came in handy....Whew. Anyways...if I sound excited..it's cause I literally just landed @3:15 and am waiting for my buddy to finish what he's doing so we can go home.
