  • Introduction

Hello Taylorcraft Owners Club members and friends.

My name is Bruce Dutton from Henderson, NV. I am relatively new at this computer group thing but not new in aviation. I began my interest in aviation in about 1954 (I'm retired and 62 now). I got my first airplane ride at my request for my tenth birthday in Jackson, MI. The plane was a North American Navion. I didn't know it then nor did I know that I would own one later on in life but I did. I went into the Army as a Fixed Wing Multi-engine Mechanic and later on I became a Flight Engineer on a Lockheed Electra L-188 later to become a Pilot. I worked for General Aviation and Later went with a company called Universal Airlines (previously Zantop) from Willow Run MI. I left the Aviation business for a more lucritive business but I've always loved aviation and enjoyed it for fun and as a hobby. Now I am retired and have grandchildren who I would like to introduce to flying. I am looking for a good Taylorcraft, L2, J-3 Cub or a Luscomb, for a beginners trainer if anyone knows of anything. I'll consider dogs, projects or mints - any and all. I have a couple years to play with before the first little guy is ready although he can begin flying anytime. It would be nice to have a project plane as well as one to fly so they can get some real experience.

Thanks for any help and knowledge you wish to share with us.

      Bruce,
I have a 1946 BC12D project with new paint & fabric on the fuslage and tail surfaces. Wings have new spars but still need fabric and some other little things. I will sell as a project or finished airplane. Click here for a picture. I have a few more pics of it I can email to you if your interested.
