  • Float flying

Hey all! I'm sure this has been asked before, but I've only flown in Alaska, except for a few jaunts south, and would really like to know how it works for flying floats in the NW, as we are moving to eastern Washington this next year around the Colville area. Can one land on the Roosevelt lake? Can one land on the many rivers there? Are parking places for summers on floats hard to find? Are there many restrictions one should be aware of in that area? Are there yearly tax charges on owning a plane there? Questions, Questions! Any advice will be happily digested - thanks in advance!!

Carl, if you click on this link, some of the info you are interested in may be available. This lists areas open to seaplane operations.
