  • Interesting approach to a buy

    Was asking an airport manager for his recommendations for an A&P and he made the following suggestion which I thought was very logical:
    Offer to split the cost of an annual. Seller pays for those items needed to make it airworthy, or we discount the selling price by that amount. Not exactly the same as a pre-buy; little more stringent. - Mike

    Still risky. "Airworthy" to the IA might not be a satisfactory fix for you. I'd just do a pre-buy.

      Howdy Mike,

      I gotta go with alwaysoar on this one. A good pre-buy is cheap when compared to the cost to correct a major problem that might slip by the buyer's eye.
