looks like it got changed to "todays Posts"

so gotta guess they changed it to the last 24 hrs, and not since you last logged in. I will take a look at the docs over the weekend and see if it can be changed back.

Re: vb & gallery software updated

I don't know about technically "broken", but perhaps this would be the time to say that some stuff may be missing?

I sent in some photos of my ferry trip home this February, and I have never seen them anywhere on this site. There's also have two new stories I wrote in addition to the two old ones that have been on the website.

Other people also have stories and humorous things they wrote, and none of those are available on the website. If Bob has the time now to update things on the website and the gallery, then maybe it's time for any of us who have stuff to send it in for inclusion? Bob is this appropriate at this time?

There are several photos and documents in my personal archive that may well deserve a place in the "technical archives" for anyone interested.

If thereis a more convenient way to upload stuff to the website, gallery, or server from an individual level, I'd be glad to do it myself. However, if it has to go thru an administrator first for security reasons, then that's fine too.

Bob thanks again for your time and effort. A lot of people benefit from it!

How about a link to the gallery site from the forum page?

I also noticed this a couple of days ago Mike. I just got back to a computer after being gone a couple of days in the Taylorcraft. (A windy and bumpy 400-mile X/C, but it's a real nice view this time of year with the leaves turning, and the fields being picked clean.)

Just found that the way to check your "unread" posts was to go to the Home page and look under the bold text threads. When you open for example "Daily Taylorcraft Discussion", you'll see each thread that has a post you haven't been to yet. Drill down to get to the unread messages.

Bob O., as always, thanks for the good work and effort with this site. (you too Rob!)

                Hey Ollerton,

I can see all kinds of things that are broke. I have a kitchen faucet that won't quit dripping, I have a chip out of my throttle knob, my damn truck has an oil leak and my dog got into a fight with my neighbor's dog and has a hunk out of one ear. You can start fixin' anytime.

Seriously, Bob, you and our friend across the pond Robert have done an outstanding job on this site and are to be commended. If you or Robert ever get close to OK give me a call and the dinner is on me.

Many thanks for a job well done.
                Best Regards

Egads be careful or they will want an increase in salary, we just doubled it at the last Taylorcraft Foundation Board meeting in July. I too love folks who can do all this stuff on the internet.... Seriously I really think Bob & Robert have done a great job. All the others too that have contributed to the site and of course Capt. Jon & family have been great. back to trimming Kelli-Belli's nails

                      hi ron;

they moved the slide show control to the left side of the page. just used it, seems ok.

No need to take your photos off unless you just want to, we have plenty of room and you never know what someone might take interest in.

                          OK this is new:
When I click on the "New Posts" I get 5 or 6 new posts just like usual BUT then I get a line that says "The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts" which is followed by FIVE PAGES of old threads. Wow! I don't think I'm going to have time to read them all.

                            Bob,

Go to the "Quick Links" pull down menu, and select "Mark Forums Read". This "should" clear all the messages you see now as being unread, and anything new after that time will show up under the "New Posts" pull down. Of course you might want to check that you really have read them before you mark them as unread.

What do you think Bob, am I giving out bad info here? Sometimes I think I know what I'm doing, but my Wife and my Boss say otherwise...

                              Mike:
YES! It worked and you ARE giving out good info. Thank you.

And Mike, I think sometimes we should THANK those wives and bosses that set us on the right path. I've noticed that CEO's of large and powerful corporations and presidents of large and powerful countries(who don't have anyone that will tell them when they're wrong), they end up doing some really stupid things sometimes.
