Any one out there have an answer as to what size oil filler/dip stick neck a BC series needs ? This is for an a-65-8 engine. I have one that came with an A-65 I just bought but not sure if it will work ?

Re: Oil Tank neck
Are there no markings on it like 4qt or 6qt? I would do an oil change, and then you would know that you have exactly 4 qts it the sump and it should be at or near the top line on the dipstick. If you try to put a long neck sump dipstick in a short neck one I would think it would hit the bottom of the sump before you could close it. The only difference in the Length of dip sticks is for long vs' short neck sumps. They would be marked Different for a 4 vs' 6 qt sump.

Re: Oil Tank neck
Don thank you that is what I am looking for. Jason the sump is off the engine. I am not asking about how much it holds.Thank you for the suggestion anyway. I am however interested in finding out if this one will fit on a Taylorcraft or if the neck will be too short (It measures only 5 1/2 inches at the shortest distance )
If any one else can please provide me with your measurments it would be most appreciated. (It looks to me as if this neck may end up being below the exhaust and THAT is not where I would think it should be.
Thank you in advance for additional feedack

Re: Oil Tank neck
short neck, long neck . Taylorcraft uses the long neck, about 9 inch neck the other is very short , Ercoupe and such use it. The Tcraft 4 qt dip stick is the A3966, drain her add oil and it will read 4 qts.Taylorcraft Foundation, Inc
