Throttle Cable Length

I've searched the other posts, but haven't found a specific answer to "How long should the throttle cable be for a C85 installed on a long mount" If no one knows the length Then how is the best way to measure the length of the cable in the airplane???

One way would be to get a piece of solid copper house wire (coated THHN or bare 14 - 16 gauge) and run it as you would install a throttle cable from carb arm to panel. It bends but maintains shape once bent vs stranded wire. Attach it wherever you would the normal cable avoiding sharp bends and other airframe components. Measure the result. I have one in my plane but it's snowed in currently.
