I need to thank all of you for the advice and encouragement, I just might have a Taylorcraft in the end (hopefully not the way that my wife would like to see it!). With some excellent offered help we just might get the mods taken care without too much financial outlay. However I have still have a corrosion problem with the prop and an ominous amount of metal in the engine oil to deal with. Anyone got a good engine out there and/or a wood/metal prop? I do think that wood looks much more 1945!
