  • Prop Search

    Hi all;

    Looking for a climb prop to buy (or borrow for flight tests).

    I understand that for the BC12-D w/A-65 the following are true:
    Climb Prop = 43" Pitch
    Std Prop = 45"
    Cruise Prop = 47"

    I have a metal prop thats on the high side of 47" pitch and would like to know what you have found with the other pitch options. I can see where Climb could be better than cruise. (Maybe)

    Thanks for your assist.

    Rick,
    I have a 74/43 climb prop I may trade to your cruise.

        Rick:
        I'd be interested to know what your BC12-D cruises at with that 47" + prop.
        What's her indicated airspeed vs. RPM?

          Re: Prop Search

          Its all over the map. I could run a test for you. I have seen 2200 RPM and 110 MPH but now sure they were at the same time. It does move right along. But with my large frame, I'd like to see how she does with about a 43" just for grins.

          Thanks!
