Larry,
Look at Wicks cabin heat box part number EC100-005. Yes it is for a homebuilt aircraft and NO it does not just drop in place into a Taylorcraft. However, It can be modified/reassembled into the correct configuration and become an owner produced part.
It is somewhat expensive. On the other hand, you might be able to use the photo in Wicks catalog to build this from scratch.
