Hey tribe,
I'm all smiles today because I just got finished spraying my base color coat of Superflite System 4 on the fuslage,gear,and horizonal stablizer of Crispy Critter today.I really like this system and I LOVE the paint!!I did get some dust in the top of the fuslage but I think I can wet sand lightly and respray the top and nobody will ever see it....and if they do,so what,this one is for me and my father,not Oskosh award shows.
I hope to start covering my wings next week and start final assembly withn the end of the month......hopefully!

Is that the water-based system? How do you like it and how is the cost compared to other types of applications?

Kev, great. Are you going to be flying the Critter to Alliance ?

So for, I still need a ride from the train station to the motel. About 2-3 Am on the 8th. If you or anyone else might be available.

Hate to ask, but can't seem to get a car or taxi at that time. About a couple of miles from the motel. At one time that was no problem, I could just jog there. Hell getting old.

The Duck is comming nicely. My IA gave me the all is OK, close it up. Doing that, but will need to add the bumps on the top cowling for the new shielded plugs. Everything looks nice.

Well as luck would have it, we missed Arlene. Nothing but clear blue skies, no rain even.

Anxious to see the Critter finished. Did you sell the other T-Craft?

No,nothing water based about this system.It is all urathyane(or Superthane as they call it) except the glue and it is mixed with MEK.It is a dangerous mix if you don't use gloves and a charcole mask but it does save time,it also requires no hurry when glueing and it is about 1/3 cheaper than Poly-Fiber.The System 4(what I'm using)is a very slick,wet finish and shines twice as good as imron or any other thing I've seen on the market.Thier dope finish is about half the price of Poly-Fiber.I'll try to get some pictures up this weekend.I've only got the base color(white)on it so far and I am going to keep the finished design a secret until it is finished......It is very different but still keeps the original t-craft dimond stripes.

The Critter will not make Allinace this year and I'm still not sure about myself.If I can get my painting finished by the end of the month then I hope to get started building my engine while assembling the airframe at the same time.Hope to have her in the air by the end of summer.
If I come to Alliance I will probably come in and leave the same day but if I decide to camp one night on the field then I'll just steal Forrest's truck and come get ya .....OOOPS,I shouldn't use the word steal in the presents of a law enforcement officer .If that don't work I'll commendear his golf cart .That sounds more legal don't it .

Yellow Duck will have a ride...... just e-mail me direct with particulars and we will have someone OR a car waiting..... what Motel.... they do this too.. Lavery Rent a Wreck may help out too...OR you could throw a rock trough a window and wait for the nice Police Officer to come and we bail you out in the morning.....

Thanks Forest, have tried all the car rentals. Noone wants to leave a car there at that time in the morning or leave it there. The motel does not have car service and it is the only motel that had a room.
