I fly a 1946 Bc12-D now and would like to install a skylight. Any suggestions on where and how to purchase this?

    Robert,

I bought the STC to put a skylight in my T-craft from
    Gregory H. Clayton
    P.O. 56102

    Phone 907-488-4125

He sent all the parts except the plexiglas, which you buy from your local plexiglas dealer. Hope this helps.

      Don:

What did your skylight STC cost?

        Re: Skylight

The Taylorcraft Foundation has my drawings and installation instructions for a skylight, as used on a 1946 BC-12D. It was not FAA approved, but it could easily be used as the basis for an STC or 337 field approval. The thing about my method is that it can be done on a flying airplane without welding or disassembling the airplane. It's all clamps and easily made wood pieces, and everything can be reversed without any changes to the structure. I gave it to the Foundation, and all I ask is that if you contact them for a copy of it, please make a small donation to the Taylorcraft Foundation to help out.

Sorry for the delay, but we were gone for the weekend.
The STC and all the parts except the plexiglas cost $325 in February 2001.
