  • Irritating vibration in pedal

The plane flies virtually vibration free, just a little buzz in the controls, etc., but the pedals have an irritating vibration that I can't get rid of. I found one loose bolt that was causing some, but can't figure out the rest of it. When T-Crafts were built did they have some vibration dampening the in pedals? Any ideas? I've balanced and tracked the prop, checked the engine mount rubbers for proper torque, etc..

    Howdy,

Have you checked the tension on the rudder cables and are the return springs in place? I would also check the tail wheel springs.

    Good luck!

        Re: Irritating vibration in pedal

I checked the return springs, cable, and tailwheel springs, but I can't see anything that would contribute to a vibe. What am I looking for? The lower engine mount bolts right to the rudder structure. Could the torque be off, or maybe the engine mount rubbers are not tight enough, or? Any more ideas? Can a rubber washer be installed between the engine mount and the firewall?

Does the vibration occur when the engine is idling and airspeed is maintained at cruise speed?
