  • Tailwheel towbar ideas?

I am finding that my newly acquired T-Craft doesn't really like to go where I want it to go. Any of you guys have a good tailwheel tow bar design?
I have just been picking it up and horsing it around but there must be an easier way.
I was looking at my little Scott tailwheel tonight and had a couple of idea but why reinvent the wheel if some one else has already done it.
    Thanks.

There is a whole thread on this already. Just do a search.

The Taildragger-dragger works great. Their website is www.dragger.com

I've used the same one on my Tcraft, Citabria and Cessna 140. Makes moving the plane MUCH easier!

Finally, something I can contribute to!
Based on this thread I built a dragger of 1x2 oak, sandwiched together to form a 2x2.
I'll put some information for you tonight, but in the meanwhile, go acquire a tricycle (see attached) - Mike

OK MAC - by now you have acquired a tricycle. Seperate the portion supporting the rear wheels from the rest of the trike. This will involve some surgery as shown in the pic. The shaft in this model went all the way thru and would support my weight, but it was simplier to leave the back-end whole because it would shift the bearing points to just inside the wheels.

And an "over the shoulder" shot.

                  OK Mike,

Like your Taildragger, very simular to the one I purchased, made of metal.

But I really like your yard, what I could see of it. My wife and I are big into the yard and flowers.

Still working on Yellow Duck, coming slowly. Each time I make two steps foward, seems like I take one backwards.

Should have gone by your place when we were in VA last year. But am planning on going to Alliance in July. (by train) We enjoy riding the train also, and have taken many trips via Amtrack.

If all goes well, I'll fly to Alliance.
We'll have to talk food; I'm originally from Biloxi.
Hope to see you then - Mike
