I loss a good friend today. He took off in his KR2 at L49 South Lafourche Airport. He spun in at about 2500 ft off the end of runway 18, The plane caught fire and he didn't get out. His name is Joe Bedo. I will realy miss him. We did a lot of flying together. By the time we got there it was all over. It just seams like you could have done something. I had a handheld radio and he called me on it. He said Vic and the durn battery when died. I ran in to the airport office and turn that radio on, but by that time someone came in and said he had spun in .

Re: Loss a good Friend
These are ones that I due not look forward to hearing about. We lost one just north of my airport yesterday. Cherokee went straight in as the young man ( 34) was going to his Private pilot check-ride..... I recall reading Patty Wagstaffs book and going to the rear of the book and reading a list of names, about half way through I realized these were her friends, ( mine too) in Aviation that were no longer with us.... most killed in a smoking hole in the ground. Time does heal all , our best to the family from my family and my big family ; the Foundation & Owners Club..... ForrestTaylorcraft Foundation, Inc
