  • Sparkplug 'cans' and gaskets

Read somewhere that you don't use gaskets when using shielding cans.
    A. Doesn't that change the distance the plug extends into the cylinder?
    B. What about a good seal?

    Re: Sparkplug 'cans' and gaskets

The bottom part of my cans are about the same thickness as the gasket, therefore I don't use gaskets with them and the plug depth comes out about the same. The cans I use are aluminum, for what ever that is worth, and they seem to not leak around the plugs (I've looked.)
